To use AiAssistWorks in Google Docs, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Docs:

    • Open your Google Docs file.
    • Access AiAssistWorks from the right sidebar. If you can't find it, follow this instruction.
  2. Connect AI Provider:

  3. Using AiAssistWorks Features:

    • Use Selected Text from Docs:

      • This option allows you to utilize the text you've selected in your document.
      • Make sure you have some text selected if you choose this option.
      • To select text, use the mouse or keyboard shortcuts (note: CTRL + A is not supported for selecting all text; use Shift + Down Arrow instead).
      • If you don't want to use selected text, uncheck this option.
    • Prompt (Optional):

      • You can provide a text prompt or additional information here.
      • You must use either the selected text from the document or a prompt; both cannot be empty.
      • The prompt can also include additional details for the action. For example, if you're using "translate to X," specify the target language (e.g., English) in this prompt input.
    • Action:

      • Use this to apply a saved action (prompt).
      • When processing data, AiAssistWorks will combine the selected text, prompt, and action (if any) to generate the output result.
    • Select AI Model:

      • Choose the AI model you want to use.
      • If you haven't connected an AI provider yet, follow the instructions provided here.
    • Replace Selected Text with Output Result:

      • Enable this option if you want to directly replace the selected text with the output result.
  4. Start Processing:

    • Once all settings are configured, click "Start" to process your request.
  5. Handling the Result:

    • Replace Selected Text:

      • Use this option to replace the selected text with the output result.
      • Ensure you've selected text from your document.
    • Add to Cursor:

      • This option allows you to insert the output result at the cursor's current position in your document.
      • Make sure your cursor is placed where you want to add the output result.

Follow these steps to effectively use AiAssistWorks in your Google Docs document.
