Using Perplexity Models for Real-Time Web Data with AI

If you want to use AI models capable of real-time data retrieval from online sources, Perplexity  are an excellent choice. These models are specifically designed to incorporate live data into their outputs, making them ideal for tasks that require up-to-date information from the web.

How to Use Perplexity Online Models

• Register with a Provider:

  • Sign up with one of the supported providers:
    • OpenRouter: Requires adding credits to access models.
    • Straico: Offers free access to these models.

• Get Your API Key:

  • After registration, navigate to the API key section in your chosen provider’s dashboard.
    • Get a Straico API key
    • Get an OpenRouter API key
  • Copy your API key.

• Add the API Key to the Add-On Settings:

  • Open the settings in your add-on.
  • Paste the copied API key into the designated API key field.

• Start Using Perplexity Models:

  • Once the API key is configured, you can select and use Perplexity models directly from the add-on. If the model is not yet in the dropdown, you need to activate it in the "Preferred Model Setting."
