AiAssistWorks Smart Command Help

AiAssistWorks revolutionizes the way you work with Google Sheets by enabling you to complete tasks in seconds using natural language instructions. Simply describe your task in human language, and the AI will handle it for you—no technical expertise required. This tool is designed to simplify spreadsheet management, boost productivity, and save time.

Supported Tasks

📊 Formulas

Create complex formulas for math, text manipulation, and logical operations effortlessly.

Special Feature: Column Placement - just mention “column F”, “put in column M”, etc.

Supported formula types:

  • Mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, power, square root, etc.)
  • Text functions (uppercase, lowercase, concatenate, extract text, etc.)
  • Conditional logic (IF statements, comparisons, etc.)
  • Date functions (year, month, date calculations, etc.)
  • Statistical functions (percentile, quartile, etc.)

Example:

  • “Calculate profit margin as revenue divided by cost times 100”
  • “Add tax in column G, if Month is Januari until March 10% of sales, if April until June 15% of sales, the remaining is 20% of sales.”

Limitation: Advanced array functions (FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE) and custom functions not supported

🎨 Formatting

Apply font and cell colors based on multiple conditions and customize text styles.

Special Feature: Column to format. - just mention column name or just “column F”, etc.

Supported formatting types:

  • Font colors and background colors
  • Bold, italic text styles
  • Number formatting (currency, percentage, etc.)

Supported condition types:

  • Value comparisons (greater than, less than, equal to, etc.)
  • Statistical conditions (greater than average, median, top percentiles, etc.)
  • Cross-column conditions
  • Direct formatting (no conditions)

Example:

  • “Highlight sales greater than 1000 in green with bold text”
  • “make region and sales in red cell color if sales < 1000 and region is not west”

Limitation: Complex conditional formatting rules with multiple interdependent conditions

✅ Data Validation

Create dropdown menus and set validation ranges to ensure data accuracy.

Supported validation types:

  • LIST (dropdown menus), NUMBER_BETWEEN, DATE_BETWEEN, TEXT_LENGTH
  • EMAIL, URL, EVEN_NUMBER, ODD_NUMBER, POSITIVE_NUMBER
  • INTEGER_ONLY, ALPHABETIC_ONLY
  • TEXT_CONTAINS, TEXT_NOT_CONTAINS, TEXT_STARTS_WITH, TEXT_ENDS_WITH
  • ITEM_FROM_RANGE, CHECKBOX, CUSTOM_FORMULA, etc.

Example:

  • “Add dropdown validation for status column with options: Active, Paused, Completed”
  • “add data validation for category column: Electronic, Clothing, Books”

Limitation: Single column per task, Custom formula validation requires knowledge of validation formulas. Very complex multi-condition rules may need to be split into separate instructions.

🤖 AI Fill

Generate text and content directly within Google Sheets using AI.

Special Feature: Column Placement - just mention “column F”, etc.

Example:

  • “Generate product descriptions based on product name and price columns”
  • “create one paragraph marketing copy based on column product name and description, put result in column G”

Limitation: Maximum 30 rows for first run (then continues with a click). Processing time depends on data size. Text-only input and output in the current version.

📈 Charts

Visualize data using various chart types effortlessly.

Special Feature: Placement - mention “right of table” or “below table” for positioning

Supported chart types:

  • COLUMN, BAR, LINE, PIE, AREA, SCATTER, COMBO, HISTOGRAM

Example:

  • “Create a pie chart showing revenue by product category, put in right table”

Limitation: Requires at least one numeric column for data visualization. Complex chart customizations may need manual adjustment.

📋 Pivot Tables

Summarize and analyze data using pivot tables for better insights.

Special Feature: Placement - mention “right of table” or “below table” for positioning

Example:

  • “Create pivot table summarizing sales by region and quarter, put below table”

Limitation: Requires structured data with clear headers. Complex pivot configurations may need refinement.

📄 Table Creation

Generate complete tables from descriptions, including column names and realistic data.

Special Feature: Starting point - mention specific cell like “start at H5” for precise placement

Example: “Create country table with column country name, GDP, population, capital city, put start in cell G8”

Limitation: Text data only. Large tables may require continuation. Generated data matches detected language.

📊 Analysis

Analyze table data for trends, patterns, and actionable insights using AI.

Example: “Analyze sales data to identify trends and provide business recommendations”

Limitation: Analysis quality depends on data structure and completeness. Very large datasets are automatically sampled to max ~100K tokens to stay within limits.
